Cristyn Magnus received her PhD in Music from University of California, San Diego in 2010, where she studied music technology with Miller Puckette and composition with Philippe Manoury and Rand Steiger. She has a Bachelors in Cognitive Science and her musical interests lie at the intersection of the two fields. She likes playing with algorithms and interactivity. Her work explores the way groups of performers, audience members, and computational agents interact to make music.

Alina Jacobs is a performer, playwright and sound enthusiast from New York City. Her musical involves analog electronics and acoustic improvisation. She is a current MFA student at Brooklyn College.

Brian is a sonic adventurer, Deep Listener, passionate educator, and the Dean of the Lawrence Conservatory of Music. Brian and his soulmate, Leila Pertl, teaches Deep Listening classes both at Lawrence and through the Center for Deep Listening.

A Fish. Transformed, By Ayelet Rose Gottlieb

Ayelet Rose Gottlieb– “The communal spirit of Ayelet Rose Gottlieb’s ’13 Lunar Meditations: Summoning The Witches’ feels like a gift.” said Downbeat magazine about Jerusalem-born Gottlieb’s most recent release.

Described as having an “individually rigorous tone” (Ben Ratliff, New York Times), Ayelet collaborates with composer John Zorn and Palestinian poet Naomi Shihab Nye.

In 2018 Ayelet founded the “Orchard of Pomegranates,” a space for multidisciplinary exploration. There, she produces evocative monthly workshops including with dream specialist IONE, master vocalist Theo Bleckmann and choreographer Aria Evans.

Sofy Yuditskaya is a site-specific media artist and educator working with sound, video, interactivity, projections, code, paper, and salvaged material. Her work focuses on techno-occult rituals, street performance, and participatory art. Sofy’s performances enact and reframe hegemonies, she works with materials that exemplify our deep entanglement with petro-culture and technology’s affect on consciousness.

17 Breaths, BY Gregory Nieuwsma

Greg Nieuwsma is an American musician living in Kraków, Poland. Musically restless, he’s dabbled in everything from kosmiche to minimalism. He’s primarily a guitarist, though he’ll stray from that path often for months at time, diving into synths, banjos, stylophones, harmoniums, and broken toys. One of his notable records is a version of Terry Riley’s “In C” performed on instruments recycled from a flea market, which Electronic Music Magazine called “enchanting.”

Jo Hutton has worked as a recording engineer for radio and music since 2000. She is also a composer/sound designer of experimental music and sound art and her work has been shown at the Museum of London, Tower Bridge exhibition centre, Tate modern, and played on BBC Radio 3, channel 4 and Resonance fm. She has a PhD on the work of electroacoustic experimental composers Beatriz Ferreyra, Eliane Radigue, Delia Derbyshire and Teresa Rampazzi which focusses on their methods for creating new electronic sound material in the pre-digital analogue studios of the1960s and early 1970s.

Stephen Lilly is a DC-based composer, performer, audio engineer, and poet. Described as “dark … demanding” (The Retriever) and “the sort of thing you are glad to have experienced without wanting to revisit” (The Washington Post), he mostly writes abstract or satirical works for friends and friends of friends.

Water Body, BY Akari Komura

Akari Komura is a Japanese composer-vocalist. Her breadth of work spans chamber ensemble, multimedia/electronic, dance, and vocal music. Her works have been presented at the Atlantic Music Festival, Composers Conference, Montreal Contemporary Music Lab, Nief-Norf, Penn State New Music Festival, and soundSCAPE.
She holds a M.M. in Composition from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Vocal Arts from the University of California, Irvine. Her major teachers include Evan Chambers, Roshanne Etezady, Stephen Rush, and Frances Bennett.
